I find the best way to look at these galleries is to put it on slideshow, set it to fade and sit back for the show. Sometimes it takes a bit of nudging when it hangs up, or something. You can see the largest photos that way. ginger, enjoy!
Marsh bird sitting pretty!
Casting their net on the waters....didn't catch anything that I know of.
Great Blue Heron finds a dry place at high tide.
The Heron and the egret share the dry place as evening comes on.
The tide is still up and the refuge is getting more crowded.
Looking across the paved drive is the harbor. A freighter goes out to sea while the sky and the water show their post sunset colors.
Back to the marsh side, it is darker. The moon, three days from being full has gotten higher and is reflected in the creek. The hillock can barely be seen, the condos appear small with that wider lens. I included the Sullivan's Island lighthouse to my right.
This is a reflection of marsh grass. The sun has set.
I liked it.
And that was the last of my photography for that day. Too dark for more.
