Christmas Trees
at Charleston Place
a big hotel in Charleston.
Used to be The Omni. I stayed
there courtesy of State Farm after
the hurricane of 1989. I stayed
for three weeks. It is near the
Market in Charleston, many restaurants. It is an excellent
hotel. I usually drop in to look
at the Christmas decorations.
These are two trees all festively
dressed.
12/11/2006 for Wednesday. I wanted something bright and cheerful. Have a good day!
A Very Historic building at the entrance to what is known as the market. Meat was stored and sold in this building (not slaves as some had thought). Note the symbols at the top that denote meat and fish, too, I think. It is a very old bldg. Early 1880s, I think.

break, I turned and took this photo while crossing the street. Before we became politically correct, Christmas was a much bigger happening downtown.
walking back to the car. By then I was dead (tired and sore).
The Clydesdale Horses were in town for a parade.
