Manatees: Shem Creek, SC July 3 2006
Mother and baby Manatee were up a smaller creek off of Shem Creek, Mt Pleasant, SC, at high tide on July 3, 2006. After an hour or more, as the tide was going out, they finally swam away, to my disappointment. This was about 5 or 6 PM, July 3, 2006.

Up a smaller creek from Shem Creek. The shrimp boat dock and a crab trap frames the photo on the bottom. The marsh grass is a nice summer green for early evening, or late day, however one views these things.
