• An earlier, just slightly, shot of a "late leaving" Ibis. He was fixing to leave at this point.

 • More net casting. He has a piece of the rope in his teeth, I have seen others do this. It is harder for me to photograph than the birds, smile.

Usually the people doing it are not as accessable, or are shy. He was very friendly. If he is there again sometime, I will use a different lens to see how that works. I was using the 70-200. I was hoping to catch birds and him with the same lens. Don't know how effective it was for either, smile.

 • Casting the fish net "on the waters". He is catching small minnow looking fish to use for bait for his pole and hook with which he catches "dinner".
I think it is all about the food for everyone!

 • Regular evening Ibis flight!

Every evening they appear to go the same place in flocks. However which place they fly over varies. They have been a project om mine along with the Skimmer. This is the best so far, it seems to help that there is land in the photo.

 • Casting the net from the other side......I mean that I was on the other side of him to catch his face in the photo. That made him backlit.

 • Colorful Sky Over Charleston, SC as the sun set. Notice the church spires. Charleston is known as the Holy City because of the church spires in her skyline.

 • This was the day I said it was going to storm. The light was in and out.

The left, your left, is the harbor side from the bridge (at the end of the long walk, smile) and the rt is the marsh side.

Someday I should show people something like this so they would know what the area really looks like. Get a lot of birds there.

 • Sunrise across the marsh

Well, horizontally, for the most part it is marsh grass, but the exposure is just too dark, and I think that creates a mess that comes thru as "banding". I see it vertically. The question is is it in the other sunrise??

 • The Pesky Kingfisher way off at the outer limits of our lenses.....Harry would have had trouble even with all of his stuff.

I used the Poster Edges filter on this full strength, I liked the effect here, so I made the poster below.

 • Pesky KF: I know I used the Poster Edges filter on this (totally diff from the "edges" filter that I use all the time). This time I wanted to create an effect. The other one is to enhance but not create an effect. These were not good watercolor candidates whereas that Cormorant took to watercolor like he takes to water, ahahahahah....

 • My Pesky Kingfisher. I noticed in the bird book that only the females have that rust color on their chests (I think that is what I noticed. I am not running on much sleep here, smile.)

I think I used the filter Poster Edges on this, then took it down a bit. I also used the selective colors thing to raise the "red" a bit, that was to bring out the word "warning" in the sign.

I have been trying to get this shot for a long time. I took two, THEN tried to get in a better position. By the time I did that he was gone.
